963,566. Baling-machines. INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER CO. Dec. 3, 1962 [Dec. 14, 1961], No. 45478/62. Heading B5F. In a baling machine comprising a bale forming chamber along which material is moved towards a discharge end, the inner walls of at least one part of the chamber converge towards the discharge end. Bales 29, 30 &c. are formed from material entering an opening 19 and are pushed along a chamber 10 by a reciprocating plunger 20, shown in its extreme rightward position. Chamber 10 accommodates rectangular peripheral members 32, 34, having converging inner faces, so that bales are given two successive radial compressions. Any number of such members may be fitted and they may be spaced or adjacent as shown. Specification 564,376 is referred to.
