Abstract

789,942. Diving-depth pressure gauges. DRAGER, O. H. Feb. 14, 1956 [June 13, 1955], No. 4583/56. Class 106 (2). [Also in Group XX] A diving-depth measuring device, operating a pointer 7 is combined with a magnetic compass whose rose 18 and housing 11, 13 are transparent to enable the depth pointer to be seen through the top of the casing. The gauge and the compass are coaxially arranged and their scales may be marked in different luminous colours. A mounting 22, provided with lateral windows 23 for viewing a turned-down portion 19 of the compass card, holds together the compass housing 11, 13 and the pressure gauge housing 1. The device is mounted in a rubber support 24 provided with a wrist strap and having a spring bead 25 engaging a groove 26 in the housing 1. The water pressure is communicated to the interior of the housing 1 by channels 27, 3 and the interior of the compass housing may be liquid filled leaving an air bubble 21 to indicate when the device is held horizontally.
