779,610. Clinometers. LUCAS (INDUSTRIES), Ltd., J. Sept. 28, 1955 [Oct. 22, 1954], No. 30496/54. Class 97(2) An inclinometer comprises a transparent tube a bent to shallow concave form and filled with liquid, a small ball b freely movable along the tube, a two part housing for the tube, the housing being secured by a screw i to an attachment plate, not shown, so as to be angularly adjustable. A rubber disc may be provided between the housing and the attachment plate to prevent rotation after the screw is tightened. The housing may carry a scale of gradients corresponding to the inclination indicated by various positions of the ball.
