[Class 97 (ii)] A slow period indicating float element 10 adapted to be pivotally supported by buoyancy in a liquid in a compass &c. comprises a small sealed buoyancy chamber 20 surrounded by another chamber 21 having apertures 22 whereby the chamber 21 is filled with the surrounding liquid. The float element 10 is pivotally supported against the lower end 14 of a pillar 13.
