677,194. Gauge glasses. SORENSEN, I. June 23, 1950 [June 27, 1949; Aug. 19, 1949], No. 15732/50. Class 123(i) A transparent liquid-level gauge 5 for application to an aperture 2 in the wall 1 of a receptacle is moulded in one piece with a packing flange 4 the inner surface of which is provided with a light reflecting and/or phosphorescent layer 8. The layer 8 may be moulded with the gauge or applied later in the form of a coating of enamel &c. Alternatively a gasket 7 between the flange 4 and wall 1 is impregnated with a reflecting substance.
