In a side-delivery rake of the type having a series of oblique rotary rake-wheels 7, 8, 9, 10 driven by ground-contact, the rake-wheels are mounted on rigid axles 3, 4, 5, 6 on a frame 1 and are themselves sufficiently flexible to compensate for ground-irregularities. The rakewheel construction is similar to that described in Specification 731,040 and comprises spokes 25b radiating from a central hub A and passing through two spaced concentric rims 29, 30 with a change of direction at each rim, each spoke terminating in a crop-engaging tooth 25f. The arrangement differs from the prior construction in that the rims 29, 30 are not co-planar, the spoke-portions 25d between these rims defining a conical surface. Two of the axles 3, 6, are extended rearwardly and terminate in a tubular upright 33 into the lower end of which the swivel-axle of a castor wheel 11, 12 may be inserted. The whole device may be inverted for tedding and the castor-wheel axles are then inserted in the opposite ends of the tubes 33. The device is pulled by an adjustable drawbar 13.
