Abstract
806,005. Side-delivery rakes. VAN DER LELY N.V., C. March 28, 1955 [March 29, 1954], No. 9045/55. Class 6(3). A rake-wheel for a side-delivery rake has a plurality of circumferential resilient tines, the outer extremities 10 of which extend through holes in a rim 1 and the part 7 within the rim is bent, looped or convoluted through more than 90 degrees before being attached to some point 5 within the rim so that the length of the tine within the rim exceeds the shortest distance between the point of attachment and the aperture. In Fig. 1, the tines form pairs with a common point 5 of support on the inside of the rim, being bent in U-shape thereafter so that two extremities 10 pass through adjacent holes in the rim. In Fig. 5, a second rim or hoop 21 is mounted within the main rim 32, the latter being supported solely by the convoluted portions 26 of the tines 31 between the rims. In a similar construction, Fig. 6, not shown, the tines are formed in pairs bolted at their centres to the inner rim. In a modification, Fig. 7, not shown, the outer rim is flexible, the tines being looped back as in Fig. 1, and the outer rim is supported from the inner by links. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 776,813 and 776,817.
