A hay-tedder frame 1 carries a plurality of tined rake-wheels 13-18 which are rotatable on a common shaft 8 to which they are perpendicular, the rake-wheels being motordriven and being rotatable in planes which make an acute angle with the line of travel so that the crop always engages the same side of the rake-wheels. The Specification also describes a rake-wheel, Fig. 3, having a rim 41 which is concentric with a shaft 8, about which it is rotatable, the rake-wheel tines 46 being slidable in eyelets 45 on the rim and their inner ends being secured to a hub-ring 49 which is turnably, but eccentrically, mounted on the shaft 8. The hub comprises outer and inner hub-rings 49, 52, the outer ring 49 carrying the tines and the inner ring being held by a rod 54 so that the plane through the centres of the ring and shaft 8 is inclined at about 30-60 degrees to the horizontal. The ring 49 is carried around by the tines 46 which in turn are carried around by the rim 41 which is secured to the shaft by spokes 42, the eccentricity of the hub causing the tines to protrude beyond the rim at the lower dead-centre position. The shaft is driven by gearing 34, 35 from a shaft 32 driven by the power take-off of the towing tractor 30. The frame 1 is U-shaped and is swingable about the axis of a tube 20 by which it is attached to the hitch-links 27, 28, 29. Casters 36, 37 support the frame.
