1,214,887. Haymaking machine. BUCHERGUYER A.G, MASCHINENFABRIK. 30 Sept., 1968 [28 Sept., 1967], No. 46289/68. Heading A1F. A haymaking machine for attachment to a tractor comprises a rake wheel 2 supported on ground rollers 1 in which the outer ends of the prong carriers 17 are pivotally mounted in a rim 23 entirely supported by the prong carriers 17. Bearing bushes 25 are secured by screws to the rim 23 to mount the prong carriers. The rim may have a rectangular cross-section and may be made from a tube with flattened portions at the mounting points of the bearing bushes 25. The rim may also have a polygonal shape instead of that of a circle' or may be constructed from arcuate sections with the bearing bushes forming an integral part of each section. The prong carriers are controlled by a control cam surface 21 secured to spindle 10 and engaging control cranks 22 on the prong carriers 17 in such a way that the rake prongs are swung upwards away from the ground during one rotation of the rake-wheel.
