Class 142(1) A device for arranging wire healds in single file as they are fed to a drawing- in machine comprises friction wheels 7, 8 rotating in the same direction and overhanging opposite sides of a slot 10a, so that if (owing to the large clearance of the eyes 2 on the bar 1) two healds reach the wheels with their shanks side-byside, the wheel 8 urges one forward and the wheel 7 retards the other, thereby disentangling them. The healds are fed to the device by a brush 6 carried by eccentric pins 5a on rotating discs 5.
