Classes 120(2) and 120(3) A spinning machine for converting a number of continuous filamentary tows into yarns comprises pairs of back and front rollers and, in place of the normal carrying rollers between the said pairs and interchangeable therewith, an attachment comprising a shaft carrying a series of star wheels, one for each tow. so fitted that the drive for the star wheel shaft is derived from a drive to either the front or back rollers and the axis of the star wheels lies parallel to the rollers and is so located that tows subjected to draft between back and front rollers pass through the path swept by the teeth of the wheels. An adjustable bar may be fitted to the attachment for guiding the tows into the appropriate path.
