Abstract

760,918. Creels and beaming machines. HOLT, Ltd., T., HOLT, F., and LEE, G. July 12, 1954 [April 11, 1953], No. 9897/53. Class 142 (1). To avoid delays in beaming while an exhausted creel is replenished, a beaming machine is provided with two creels. In one arrangement, the beaming machine is mounted on a turntable between the creels. In another arrangement the two creels are placed side-byside and either the beaming machine or the creels are moved along rails when one creel becomes exhausted. In a third arrangement, Fig. 5, the creels 13c, 14c are inclined to one another and the beaming machine 12c is placed at the point of intersection of the longitudinal axes of the creels, the machine being turned about its vertical axis 15 to receive yarns from either creel.
