Abstract

780,028. Container-fllling machines. GUNNEBO BRUKS AKTIEBOLAG. Feb. 28, 1956 [March 16, 1955], No. 6225/56. Class 94(1). [Also in Groups XVIII and XXX] Nails and like objects are fed by a vibrating shoot 2 to the inlet 7 of an inclined partitioned shoot 6 which transfers them to a second vibrating shoot 12 having its outlet positioned over a container 14. The shoot 6 is movable downwardly about a pivot 8 against the action of a spring 9 and has a pin and slot connection 10, 11 with the operating member of a switch 23 in the circuit of the vibrator 4 of the shoot 2. If the weight of nails in transit on the shoot 6 exceeds a predetermined value, the inclination of the shoot is decreased to reduce the rate of transfer to the shoot 12 and the switch 23 is opened to stop the feeding action of the shoot 2 until the shoot 6 resumes its normal inclination. The container 14 is held in position on a table 15 by a funnel 18 and clamp 17, the table being supported by links 16 and reciprocated horizontally by a connecting rod 19 and eccentric to settle the nails.
