778,986. Water closets. COLONNA, A. Sept. 15, 1955, No. 26495/55. Class 26. A water closet for use in confined spaces comprises a cabinet 12 having a fixed soil pipe 98 opening into its bottom wall, an outer head 102 secured above the soil pipe and having horizontal axial bearings at its ends in which an inner head 64 rotates, and a closet bowl 20 integral with the head 64 which can rotate from its shown position of use to an out-of-use position in the cabinet in which the discharge neck 60 of the bowl communicates with the soil pipe. Water is supplied to the flushing rim 26 of the bowl by a passage 38 from an outer part of the head 64 which has a water inlet in one of its axial bearings, the rim 26 being perforated only at its forward end, so that after the supply of flushing water has been cut off by an external valve, when the bowl is lowered to its position of use, water from the rear of the rim and from the passage 38 is delivered to the bowl.
