Abstract

673,325. Closets; valve-discharge waterwaste-preventers. AUE, H. Aug. 21, 1950 [Aug. 23, 1949; May 24, 1950], No. 20671/50. Class 26 A pressure vessel serving as an air receiver is mounted behind, and extends substantially over the entire height of, a closet bowl and contains a riser pipe which connects the lower part of the vessel to the flushing opening via a self-closing valve. In the form shown in Fig. 1, the air receiver 3 and the riser 4 are formed integral with the bowl 1, the water inlet being at 9 and the self-closing valve at 5. The pressure vessel may also be formed separately from and cemented to the closet bowl or as a hollow container formed integral with the closet bowl and with a pressure resistant metal container fitted therein. Electrical heating elements may be fitted at 10, and the raising of the seat, or a pedal, may operate the valve 5.
