Abstract
775,890. Floors. FRAZZI, A. Aug. 26, 1954, No. 24801/54. Class 20(4) [Also in Group XIII] A heat radiating floor comprises a lower part providing longitudinally disposed ribs n spaced apart and lightened by having openings formed through them, heating pipes k laid in some or all of the grooves defined between adjacent ribs, an upper part consisting of spaced rows of bricks, blocks or slabs c resting on the ribs n of the lower part, and a concrete filling provided in the paces a, b formed between the ribs in the lower part of the floor and between adjacent rows of bricks, blocks or slabs c in the upper part of the floor. Fig. 1 shows one form in which longitudinally extending openings are provided in the ribs n which are flanged and, if desired, flat bricks d may be interposed between adjacent flanged ribs as shown in Fig. 4. Reinforcing bars q may be provided in spaces a. Fig. 9 shows a further form in which the lower part of the floor consists of flat or ribbed bricks r interposed between unflanged bricks constituting the ribs n. The latter are formed with transverse openings s and their ends are shaped so that transverse heating pipes k and reinforcing bars 2 may extend as shown in Fig. 9. When building up the floor or site, the heating pipes and reinforcing bars are laid between the ribs n and concrete is poured in the spaces b up to the level of of the tops of ribs n. Thereafter, the bricks c are positioned in spaced rows on the ribs n and concrete poured into the spaces a.
