771,690. Spindle lubricating devices. ADLINGTON, F., and WHITWORTH, G. W. Sept. 5, 1955 [June 4, 1954], No. 16551/54. Class 120 (2). [Also in Group XXXIV] A lubricating device for the spindle 16 of a textile spinning, twisting or like machine comprises a receptacle 11 for a lubricating pad 18, a bush 12 being fixed in the receptacle and being provided with slots into which parts of the pad project for contact with the spindle. Above the pad is a dished washer 21 down which lubricant is poured to flow through an opening 22 on to the pad. The pad may be formed with a slit in the centre to enable it to be stretched over the top of the bush 12 into position in the receptacle 11. Alternatively the pad may be formed as a washer the internal diameter of which corresponds substantially with the diameter of the bore of the bush 12.
