Class 99(1) In a flexible tubular connection between two containers 1 and 2 comprising a short elastic tubular body 5a with each extremity bent outwardly forming a flange adapted for insertion behind the flange of the corresponding cap nut 8 and 9, and each container embodying a threaded nipple 3 and 4, accessible from the outside of the container, to receive the associated cap nut, the flanges on the body are clamped' between the nuts and nipples when the nuts are screwed on to the latter. A copper-asbestos sealing-disc 6 or 7 is inserted between each nut and sleeve flange, whilst the sleeve has a bulged central portion of greater cross-section than the ends thereof, and one, as shown, or each of the containers may be recessed to lessen the protrusion of one or both connections' and hence reduce the distance between the containers. In a modification, the pipe connections are of different diameter so that one may be nested with the other. Specification 728,360, [Group XXIX], is referred to.
