768,352. Two-part couplings. HEIDECKE, R., and FRANKE, H., [trading as FRANKE & HEIDECKE FABRIK PHOTOGR. PRAZISIONS-APPARATE]. Oct. 19, 1953 [Oct. 23, 1952], No. 28781/53. Class 38 (1). In a flash-lamp plug and socket connector with concentric contacts, the plug has a conical bead 7 at its free end and the socket has a hairpin spring 14 with legs 19 projecting through slots 13 in a sleeve 12 surrounding the socket contacts, said legs snapping over the bead 7 to latch the plug in the socket. A loop 15 of the spring engages a recess in a sleeve 17 rotatable on the socket. On rotation of the sleeve by means of the milled edge 18, the spring legs are retracted from slots 13 to permit removal of the plug. In a modification, Figs. 5-7, a conically toothed portion 23 on the plug is adapted to engage a conically toothed recess 27 in a rotatable sleeve 26 on the socket. To remove the plug, it is rotated, thereby rotating sleeve 26 and spreading the arms 24 of a fixed hairpin spring so that they disengage the bead 22 on the plug.
