Abstract

767,857. Grease guns; compressors. HAUPTER, H. Oct. 6, 1954, No. 28738/54. Classes 8(1), 102(1) and 102(2) A grease gun comprises a piston 4 which is moved on its suction stroke by a spring and on its delivery stroke by an electromagnetic device contained in a housing 10 and controlled by a switch 12 and is provided with a regulating screw 11. The piston operates in a cylinder 1 having suction ports 5 which may communicate with grooves on the exterior: a rubber collar having a restricted bore and a tapered bore leading to it may be fitted in the outlet of the pump. The grease is contained in container 2 fitted with a piston 6 which may be spring-loaded or subjected to air pressure supplied by a compressor. The compressor comprises a piston 7 connected to the piston 4 by a reduced portion so that when reciprocated, air is drawn through the ports 8 and delivered through the ports 9 when the latter are uncovered by the reduced portion.
