Abstract
<PICT:0766731/IV(b)/1> Apparatus for mixing and delivering water-oil mixtures, for example for spraying on textile fibres during the manufacture of textiles, comprises a container 22 for the liquid mixture at the lower end of which agitating gas is discharged into the liquid from a plurality of nozzles 21 spaced from one another, each nozzle being connected by an independent conduit 20 to a common gas reservoir 18. The connections 23 between the reservoir 18 and conduits 20 contain apertures calibrated to control the flow of gas. Each nozzle 21 includes a ball valve which prevents ingress of mixture into the nozzle when the supply of gas ceases. A pressure differential between the reservoir 18 and the container 22 is provided by arranging that a calibrated discharge valve 24 for the container 22 maintains a lower pressure than a similar valve 19 for the reservoir 18. Some of the nozzles 21 may be excluded by means of cocks 27 in the conduits 20. Specification 758,689 is referred to.
