761,019. Automatic bobbin changing in double velvet looms. GUSKEN, T. A. [trading as GUSKEN, T. A. [Firm of] ], and JANSEN, O. Oct. 12, 1954 [June 2, 1954], No. 29427/54. Class 142 (2). A double velvet loom has, at that end remote from bobbin changing apparatus 5, the usual double celled shuttle box and, at the other, a single celled drop box 4 which, after a shuttle has been picked from it, moves to receive the other shuttle picked simultaneously from the other end of the loom. In order that the lower shuttle may be replenished, the box 4 is also movable vertically under feeler control. The normal up and down motion of the box 4 is produced by a cam operated rod 21. When the lower shuttle is to be replenished, the feeler causes a latch 31 to release an arm 28, which is thereupon swung upwardly by a spring 29 to bring the arm's sloping end into the path of a roller 26 on the rod 21, to lift the rod.
