Abstract
403,168. Positioning shuttles in looms with automatic weftreplenishment. TERRY, P. J., 22, Slagg Street, Burnley. Aug. 2, 1932, No. 21601. [Class 142 (iii).] When the shaft g<1> is turned for changing the cop in the shuttle, it turns a shaft b through link and lever devices and a give-way spring d<3>. A finger h on the shaft b is thereby turned into the position shown in dotted lines in Fig. 4 and engages in the shuttle slot. A lever m has one end adapted to engage the picker k while the other is acted upon by a spring n<3> on a rod n connected to a lever on the shaft b. After weft-replenishment has been effected, a spring returns the shaft b to its normal position so that the finger h is clear of the picker and shuttle.
