Abstract

234,398. Whittaker Loom Co., Ltd., and WhittaKer, M. E. Nov. 27, 1923. Shuttles, changing bobbing and the like in, automatically.-The transferrer k, which may be L-shaped and is pivoted on a shaft l, is operated by a pin m on a swivel m<1>, which is turned on the shaft l by a lay bunter engaging a projection therein when the swivel is depressed by the action of the weft feeler mechanism. The pin is normally held in position to engage the transferrer by a projection o<1> on a shuttle feeler o engaging a collar, which carries the pin and is slidable on the shaft l, but when the feeler o is moved by an incorrectly-positioned shuttle, a spring n moves the pin into inoperative position, so that the swivel m<1> moves idly without operating the transferrer.
