15,543. Regal, A. June 28. Weft-replenishing mechanism; shuttles.-A feeling-lever 2, 3 pivoted to a stud 4 on the plate 1 of the weft-spool casing is acted upon by a spring 7, so as to be normally out of contact with the cop, but when the shuttle enters the shuttle - box on the left side of the loom the lever is caused to oscillate by reason of its inertia, so that its spoon-shaped end 2 contacts with the weft on the cop. A step 5 on the lever 2, 3 normally engages under a projection 8 of a stop part 10 slidably mounted on a bolt 9, and thus retains the part 10 in the position shown against the action of a spring 11, but when the weft is substantially exhausted, the lever 2, 3 is allowed to oscillate sufficiently to release the part 10, which is then moved outwards by its spring. When the shuttle enters the shuttle-box on the left side, the part 10 engages a projection 18 on and operates a spring-controlled sliding bolt which rocks a lever, and thus causes changing- mechanism for the weft-spool casing to be operated.
