12,333. Haslam, O. H. June 14. No Patent granted (Sealingfee not paid). Loom stop-motions shuttles.-The loom is stopped just prior to complete exhaustion of the weft from the shuttle. A curved spring b, Fig. 1, carried in a slot or recess a at the side of the shuttle, on a metal plate b, bears against a spring c having a contact-piece d, which is pressed forwards when the shuttle enters the shuttle box, so that, when not prevented by the weft on the shuttle spindle e, it makes contact with a piece f on a metal plate g on the shuttle side, thus completing aa electric circuit through plates 3 &c., Fig. 5, on the swell 2 and through an electro-magnet i. An armature k is thus attracted, the upper arm k<x> of which depresses the weft-fork lever l into the path of the weft hammer m, so that the loom becomes stopped in the usual manner. [Reference has been directed under Patents Act, 1902, to Specifications No. 23,499, A.D. 1900, Nos. 2466 and 16,419, A.D. 1902, and No. 16,454, A.D. 1903.]
