14,014. Haslam, O. H. July 7. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Loom stop-motions ; shuttles.-Relates to an improvement on the electric weft stop-motion described in Specification No. 12,333, A.D. 1905, and obviates the necessity of using a spring projecting outside the shuttle and of making a slot therefor. A spring f presses against a pin c connected to a metal plate d on the outside of the shuttle, and a second spring f <x> is normally held by the weft out of contact with a pin c<x> connected to a metal plate e. On the substantial exiaustion of the weft, the spring f <x> contacts with the pin c<x>, and the completion of the circuit stops the loom by the weft-fork motion, as described in the prior Specification. The springs f, f <x> are used in combination with the ordinary spring a which acts against the shuttle tongue. A modification is described, in which a single forked spring is employed, the two prongs acting as the springs f, f <x> and the butt end as the spring a.
