Weft-replenishing mechanism. - In electric weft-feeler mechanism, a feeler member or slide 9, Figs. 4 and 7, normally moved forwards by the action of a spring 12 on a lug 9<2> on the feeler 9, carriss a second wedge-ended feeler or plunger 13, which fits in a groove or recess in the slide and is normally moved beyond the bobbin-engaging end thereof by an arm 15<1> on an angle-lever 15 controlled by a spring 15<2>. The arm 15<1> acts on a check-nut 14 on a threaded part of the plunger. At the beat-up, the plunger normally enters between the coils of weft on the bobbin, but, if this is substantially exhausted, the plunger is moved inwards against the action of the spring 15<2>, and a copper plug 153 on the lever 15 contacts with an insulated metal strip 17. An electro-magnet 22 is thereby energized, and a lever 28 is attracted against the action of a spring on its shaft. A rod 29 is thereby moved into position to serve as a fulcrum for a cam-actuated lever, whereby the weft-replenishing mechanism is actuated.
