22,593. Whitney, J. B. Oct. 12. Loom stop-motions.-A warp stop-motion is combined with the ordinary weft-fork motion. A heavy wire or lever p is pivoted on a pin in a slotted stud r at the side of the usual slide l, being kept parallel thereto by a spring and by being bent inwardly at its front end. When a warp breaks, an electro-magnet x mounted on the breast beam is energized, and attracts one end of the lever p. The other inwardly-bent end, which fits in an opening w in the slide l, is thus projected into the path of the weft-fork hammer o, the slide being thereby operated and the loom stopped by the usual means.
