Abstract
415,388. Weft - feeler arrangements for looms. HOLLINS & CO., Ltd., W., Castle Boulevard, Nottingham, and MARTIN, G. F. N., 40, Garthland Drive, Dennistoun, Glasgow. Feb. 21, 1933, No. 5286. [Class 142 (iii).] Feelers 5, 6 adjustably mounted on spring- pressed plungers 7, 8 are adapted to engage the weft b<1> and the weftcarrier b. In the form shown, the plunger 8 is normally projected against a stop 8<1> further than the plunger 7. When the weft is nearly exhausted, a collar 12 on the plunger 8 moves beneath a cam-surface on an arm 11 on the plunger 7 which is thereby turned so that an arm 13 carried thereby depresses a lever J<2> to effect weft replenishment on the next pick of the shuttle. In a modification, the plungers are normally projected with the collar 12 lying beneath the arm 11. When the weft is nearly exhausted, there is no relative movement between the feelers, and the arm 13 remains in the operative position to effect weftreplenishment.
