Abstract

405,179. Looms with automatic weftreplenishing mechanism. HRDINA, R., Cerveny Kostelec, 250, Czecho-Slovakia. June 17, 1933, No. 17341. [Class 142 (iii).] The push-rod 3, Figs. 4 and 6, for operating the transferrer 15 is made telescopic, a pawl 9 preventing its telescoping by entering a recess 10 in one part of the push-rod when a bolt 8 on the other part enters a bore in the shuttle on the pawl engaging a bunter 11 on the lay. When the shuttle is incorrectly positioned, the bolt 8 is pressed back against the action of a spring 6 and the pawl 9 moves clear of the recess 10. The push-rod is raised to effect bobbin change by an arm 13. The magazine is pivoted at 27, Fig. 1 and 5 so as to yield in the event of obstruction and is normally supported at the correct height by an adjusting bolt 30. It has an upper and a lower track 22, 19, for the bobbins, while the front 18 is pivoted at 32. In case of an obstruction, the front is pressed back against spring action and forces the bobbins along the lower track, so that the one to the right enters a chamber 20 which is normally held closed by a bar 21 urged by a spring to the left.
