Abstract
759,443. Valve amplifying circuits. TELEFUNKEN GES., [formerly TELEFUNKEN GES. FUR DRAHTLOSE TELEGRAPHIE.] Oct. 21, 1954 [Jan. 29, 1954], No. 30314/54. Class 40 (6). A negative feedback amplifier includes two, or more, cathode follower stages in cascade. An input stage 1 feeds a stage 2 direct-coupled to a tetrode cathode-follower 3 which in turn is direct-coupled to a second cathode-follower 4. The valve 4 is again direct-coupled to an output stage 5, and direct-coupled negative feedback is applied over the stages 2, 3, 4 by returning the grid leak 9 of the stage 2 to part 8 of the cathode load resistor of the stage 4. Both the output stage 5 and the preceding cathode follower 4 are driven into grid current. Overall A.C. coupled negative feedback may be applied as well and the Specification also describes (Fig. 2, not shown) a push-pull amplifier in which it is included, this amplifier comprising a pair of amplifiers of the type described with reference to Fig. 1. Specification 471,128 is referred to.
