Class 40(6) In a two-stage resistor coupled amplifier distortion in the output stage 4, is stated to be decreased by that in the first stage 1 by providing a load resistor 3 having a valve at least ten times higher than the internal resistance of the first stage, which operates without input bias. Transistors may replace the valves.
