Abstract

987,435. Transistor amplifying circuits. VAKUTRONIK VEB. July 13, 1961, No. 25486/61. Heading H3T. In a low-noise selective amplifier the input stage is coupled through a tuned transformer 3 to a voltage amplifier comprising a transistor 5 connected in grounded collector configuration D.C. coupled to a transistor 7 connected in grounded emitter configuration. The input stage comprises a valve 1 arranged for operating with anode current and heater voltage below their normal values or a transistor arrangement (not shown) operating with lower collector current than normal. In order to increase the total amplification one or more further voltage amplifiers are used, each comprising two transistors connected as above.
