[Also in Group XIII] In an air heater for warm. ing rooms comprising a hollow body 1 having an air inlet 2 at its lower end and a laterally directed warm air outlet 3 at its upper end, a gas, oil, steam, or electric heat source 9 within the body near the air inlet, and a vertical rear passage 5 for cool air, the upper edge of the rear wall 4 of the main hot air passage 8 is at or near the level of the lower edge of the outlet 3, and a deflector 11 divides the stream in the rear passage 5 into two parts, directed to the upper and lower parts of the outflowing warm air stream. An air inlet is also provided at the bottom of the body 1. Partitions 10, 12, 14 are provided in the passage 8.
