Abstract

550,365. Drying parachutes. MORRIS, C V. Sept. 24, 1941, No. 12360. [Class 34 (ii)] Parachutes are dried by suspending them in draped folds over horizontal supports 7 in a chamber 2 through which heated air is circulated by fans 14, 17, the fans 14 drawing the air through an electric heater and delivering it longitudinally through the lower part of the chamber, and the fans 17 returning the air to the heater through ducts 16 extending along the upper part of the chamber. Louvres 21, 20 at the front and back of the chamber regulate the admission and discharge of air in accordance with the temperature or humidity of the air in the chamber.
