[Class 34 (ii)] Grass or other fodder is dried in a chamber A having a perforated bottom C by hot gases and air drawn from a furnace by a fan D and supplied to a passage B beneath the chamber. The material is supported upon a perforated plate or screen c<1> arranged above the perforated bottom. Several chambers may be supplied in turn with hot gases from a distributing duct connected to the furnace.
