Abstract
474,131. Drying washing &c. PALMGREN, E. March 4, 1937, No. 6423. [Class 34 (ii)] In a chamber for drying washing and the like provided with means for heating and introducing drying air at the lower part of the chamber, a cold air intake is disposed at the upper part of the chamber above the hot air intake, and a discharge opening for moist air is disposed opposite the cold air intake. In the construction shown, a gas burner 3 is connected with a drying chamber 1 through a flared channel 5 and an opening 6. At the top of the chamber is an opening 14 for cold air, and a partition 15 extends across the chamber having an opening 16 for the discharge of moist air, which is withdrawn by a fan 9. The openings 6, 14, 16 are adjustable in size.
