Abstract

720,786. Drying apparatus. AKTIEBOLAGET SVENSKA FLAKTFABRIKEN. March 5, 1953 [March 8, 1952], No. 6181/53. Class 34 (2). A drying apparatus has a central chamber containing heating means 3 and fans 15, 16 and a chamber either side of the central chamber through which the articles to be dried are conveyed by band conveyers 6, 7, 8, 13, 14. The admission of fresh air and discharge of moist air is controlled by dampers 5b. Dampers 18 at the lower part of the apparatus are controlled by devices 17 sensitive to temperature or humidity. In a modification the air circulates horizontally and part of the central chamber accommodates articles to be dried. Hot gas may be admitted to the chambers or used for heating the drying medium.
