Class 34(2) In a two stage method of drying ceramic products the humidity of the heated drying air is kept approximately constant, until the temperature of the material has attained a predetermined value, by a hygrostat which is then switched off and the temperature is maintained at or above the predetermined value until drying is completed. Heating is by steam or electrically heated elements and in a modification fresh steam may be fed to the chamber containing the material if humidity falls during the heating.
