765,911. Drying grain &c. SANDOR, B. T. March 26, 1954 [Jan. 16, 1953], No. 20553/55. Divided out of 765,910. Class 34(2) In a method of drying grain &c. the material is fed into a pneumatic conveying stream and passed tangentially into a drying chamber so as to move therein adjacent to the walls of the chamber and the material is heated, in addition to any heating performed by the conveying air, by electric heat emitting means. A battery of infra-red lamps 117 are arranged to shine outwardly through a transparent casing 118 or the walls of the chamber 120 (Fig. 12) is made of heat-resistant glass and infra-red lamps 123 shine inwardly.
