697,261. Unit air conditioning apparatus. MARCHAL. P. R. June 1, 1951 [June 9, 1950], No. 13112/51. Class 137 [Also in Group XIII] Air from outside, or inside, a room, or other enclosed space, is drawn into a circular opening in a wall F1 of the casing 1 of an air conditioning unit by an electric, or steam, driven fan 3 the stream of air within the casing from the fan being deflected in a curve by vanes 6 to deliver a uniform rectangular section of air over a heater unit 5 for discharge through openings 8a, 8b. To assist in delivering a uniform section of air to the heater 5 each pair of vanes are set with a slight inclination to the rear, see angle A Fig. 2. When the fan is driven by steam the condensation water can be used to supply the heater.
