Abstract

667,214. Ventilators. ROEVAC AIR EXTRACTORS, Ltd. Aug. 14, 1950. [Aug. 19, 1949] No. 21559/49. Class 137. A ventilator for vehicles, buildings, &c. has a base plate 1 and a sheet metal casing 6, a wall 9 carried by the latter dividing the interior of the unit into a forward compartment 11 provided with air inlet louvres 7 and an air delivery opening 2, and a rear compartment 12 having an air outlet opening 3 and outlet louvres 8. Air deflecting vanes are provided on the side walls of the casing and on the partition 9 which also carries an air baffle 15. Apertures as at 13 are provided in the sides of the casing for drainage purposes. In a modification, Fig. 4, air entering the louvres 7 is directed to the back of the compartment 11 before entering the opening 2 by means of a baffle 18 which is fixed to the side walls of the cover 6, a baffle 20 is arranged over the opening 3, and more outlet louvres 8 are provided in the casing.
