Abstract

849,592. Ventilators. HALL & KAY Ltd. April 28, 1959 [May 2, 1958], No. 14163/58. Class 137 A ventilator comprises a surround 18 carrying a number of elongated units 20, each unit having longitudinal slits therethrough, and the surround being detachably secured to the front of a frame 10 mounted in an opening and capable of carrying a filter 16, the frame being open at the rear to an air-supply. The opening is in a wall 9 which may be the wall of an airduct. In Fig. 4 the filter-carrying part is a boxlike member 12 slidable from the rear into the frame 10 and lockable by screws 13 and. nuts 14. The units 20 are described in Specification 849,591 and are arranged in the surround 18 in interlocking formation. In Fig. 6 the surround 18 is secured to the frame 10 by studs 22 and clips 23 and has a foam rubber strip 24 to seal it thereagainst.
