Abstract
753,265. Magnetic separators. SPODIG, H. April 26, 1954, No. 12024/54. Class 117. In a belt separator the material passes through a unidirectional field between a homopolar magnetic roller and a roller of magnetic material. As shown, two homopolar magnetic rollers 1, 2 co-operate with a roller of magnetic material 3 to produce two unidirectional magnetic separating fields, the magnetic circuits being completed through the axles and supporting frame. Material is fed on to belt 13 and magnetic material separated out in the field between rollers 1, 3 is removed on the belt 10; the material then passes through the field between rollers 2, 3 and any further magnetic material is removed on belt 11.
