752,445. Slipping clutches. PONGRACZ, F. Nov. 23, 1954, No. 33875/54. Class 80(2) An overload-slip clutch comprises adjustable spring-loaded plungers 14 movable axially in one member 4, secured to a driven shaft 2, and engaged in cam recesses 13 in the other member 11, secured to a driving gear 10, while each of one or more plungers 18 movable axially in the member 4 has one end engaged in a cam recess 19 in the member 11 and the other end engaging a sleeve 20 slidable axially in a recess in the end of the member 4 so that, on overload, the plungers 14. 18 slip out of the recesses 13, 19 and the sleeve 20 operates a switch 21 to stop the driving motor. The sleeve 20 is reset by a light spring 24, Fig. 2. In an automatic machine tool, the sleeve 20 may be moved automatically, to stop the driving motor when the material is exhausted, by a pin 26 projecting radially from the sleeve 20 through a slot 25 in the member 4 and co-operating with the feeding mechanism.
