Abstract

748,031. Manure distributers. BAMFORDS, Ltd., and PARKER, W. N. April 12, 1954 [April 21, 1953], No. 10868/53. Class 6 (1). In a machine for distributing manure of the type incorporating a conveyer 10 and a distributer 11 mounted for rotation about a transverse horizontal axis, a deflector 13 is provided to deflect material thrown from the distributer 11 to one or more shoots 25 which are detachable so that material can be distributed in an uncontrolled manner when desired. As shown, the deflector is attached to the machine frame by means of brackets 17 and by means of bolts to brackets 12. Two shoots 25 are provided and each shoot is provided with pegs 34 which engage in lugs 35 carried by the deflector and with clips 28 which are secured by clamping- screws 32 to the deflector. The shoots are provided with flexible spouts 37. A partition plate 38 is provided inside the deflector to ensure even distribution of the material to the two shoots and it may be replaced by a pivoted flap arranged to partially close or close one or other of the two shoots. The invention may be applied to a machine arranged to deliver material from the front thereof. Specification 618,727 is referred to.
