[Class 6 (i)] A fertilizer distributer comprises a hopper or chamber 1 having one or more discharge openings 12 in its base 2, a disc 14 with apertures 15 adapted to regulate the effective sizes of the openings 12, and a device rotating about a vertical axis and having arms or blades 4 which sweep over the openings and deliver material thereto from the hopper. This disc is mounted between the hopper base and the device carrying the blades 4. Inclined baffle. plates 19 may extend from the front and rear walls of the hopper to parts covering the openings, and the side walls may have inclined baffles 20 near the base to direct the material to the openings. The hopper may have two or more sets of openings and rotary devices, the latter being driven by a common shaft 10 having bevel wheels 9 meshing with wheels 8 on the spindles 6 carrying the blades 4. The spindles 6 also carry upwardly and outwardly inclined stirrer arms 22. The member 15 is in the form of a disc and has a radially extending arm 16, connected by a link to the arms of other discs where such are provided so that all discs may be simultaneously turned slightly about the' spindles 6 when adjustment of the openings is necessitated. Each discharge opening leads to a separate shoot 13, the lower ends of which may be flared. The hopper may hinge about its base 2 to facilitate access to the working parts.
