Abstract
698,103. Cleaning metals. AKTIEBOLAGET A. EKSTROMS MASKINAFFAR March 7, 1950 [March 8, 1949; Feb. 23, 1950]. No. 10944/50. Divided out of 698,081. Class 82(ii), [Also in Group XXX] A distributer device for cleaning elements, used in the process of cleaning gas - swept heating surfaces described in Specification 698,081, comprises a hollow, substantially vertical, revolving feed shaft provided at its discharge end with two superimposed distributing surfaces which are inclined to the axis of the shaft and/or have their perimeters defined by progressively increasing radial distances from the shaft over substantially the whole of these perimeters. In the form shown the distributing surfaces are substantially cone-shaped plates 22, 23 spaced apart by radial walls 29. The feed shaft 15 carries an eccentrically mounted flange 28 to which is bolted a similar flange 27 mounted on the plate 23, the bolt holes being elongated so that the eccentricity of the distributing plates may be varied. A cone 25 of wear-resisting material is fitted to the apex of the lower plate.
