Abstract
426,182. Centrifugal machines. FILLINGER, J., 123, Rua St. Antonio, Sao Paulo, Brazil. Oct. 12, 1934, No. 29309. [Class 23] A centrifugal filter has a perforated cylindrical drum on a base 2 mounted on a sleeve 3 within which is the shaft 4 carrying the plate 5 and the helical conveyer 6. The drum and the conveyer are driven at different speeds from the shaft 9 through gearing 11, 13, 10, 12. The material enters the central tube 8 and is distributed round the drum by the conical part 7 of the plate 5. Liquid passes through the drum wall to the chamber 15 and the pipe 17 while the solids are raised up the drum wall by the conveyer 6 until they pass over the flange 16 to the chamber 18 arranged outside the chamber 15. A sloping plate 19 in the chamber 18 conducts the solids to the outlet 20.
